Lanterne rouge du classement général, Brice Feillu (Saur-Sojasun) s’élancera le premier sur le contre-la-montre de Besançon. Le Français ouvrira la route de 41,5 kilomètres à partir de 9h45. Il sera alors suivi de deux en deux minutes par l’ensemble des concurrents du peloton. Les vingt derniers coureurs à quitter la rampe de lancement partiront avec trois minutes de différence. Notez que Tony Martin (Omega Pharma-Quick Step) partira à 11h57, Fabian Cancellara (RadioShack-Nissan) à 14h54. Les cadors s’expliqueront sur la fin : Denis Menchov (Team Katusha) à 16h30, Vincenzo Nibali (Liquigas-Cannondale) à 16h33, Cadel Evans (BMC Racing Team) à 16h36 et Bradley Wiggins (Team Sky) à 16h39.
